Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana  (S-VYASA)

Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA) is a unique Yoga University translating the vision and teachings of Swami Vivekananda to action through its higher academic education programs. It is also the First ISO 2001:2008 Certified Yoga University.
The S-VYASA’s campus is located 30 kilometers away from the center of Bangalore together with its parent organization, Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VYASA). The campus is known as Prashanti Kutiram, the Abode of Peace. Lying in the lap of nature amidst lush greenery, the campus spreads over 100 acres.

Over the years, S-VYASA has been working to substantiate its yoga and healing methods through scientific research. S-VYASA has a Centre of Advanced Research (CAR) in Yoga and Neurophysiology, accredited by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The Government of India, Department of AYUSH, has also accorded S-VYASA with “Centre of Excellence in Yoga”.
S-VYASA also offers a one-of-its-kind Yoga Therapy Research health Home, with a 250-bed inpatient treatment facility known as Arogyadhama. This facility’s mission is to prevent and treat modern non-communicable diseases (NCDs), to provide long-term rehabilitation, and to promote positive health.
S-VYASA has, over the years, standardized its Advanced Yoga techniques as CM™ (Cyclic Meditation), PET™ (Pranic Energisation Technique), MSRT™ (Mind Sound Resonance Technique), MEMT™ (Mastering the Emotions Technique), MIRT™ (Mind Imagery Technique), VISAK™ (Vijnana Sadhana Kausala) and ANAMS™ (Anandamrita Sincana).
S-VYASA offers short- and long-term courses in Yogic Sciences which are recognized by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. The university offers B.Sc. & M.Sc. (Yoga Therapy), B.Sc. & M.Sc. (Yoga & Consciousness), B.Sc. & M.Sc. (Yoga & Education), M.Sc. (Yoga & Management), BNYS (Bachelors in Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences), M.Phil. (Counselling & Yoga Therapy), M.D. (Yoga & Rehabilitation), PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy (PGDYT / PGDYTD) and Ph.D. (Yoga) courses.
It also offers short-term Instructor Certification Courses like the Yoga Instructor Course (YIC), Yoga Therapy Course (YTC), and Ayurveda and Naturopathy Therapist Training Course (ANTTC). Besides these courses, there are also individual/stand-alone yoga courses such as VY[C] Self Management of Excessive Tension (SMET™), VY[+] Students™, VY[T] Stop Diabetes Movement (SDM™) and many others for which yoga instructors can sign up.
